01. April 2015 | Huge Interest in KRONOTEX, rooms and MY FLOOR Laminate Floors
The DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR 2015 flooring fair took place in Shanghai, China in late March. At it, KRONOTEX showcased its current laminate flooring collections to an international audience.
From the 24th to 26th of March, DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR 2015 once again attracted swarms of trade visitors to the Shanghai New International Exhibition Centre. This event is the world’s second-largest international trade fair for floor coverings and the most important one in the Asia/Pacific region. The whole colourful spectrum of flooring types was on display on space of around 140,000 square metres. More than 42,000 visitors – international retailers, architects and designers – took advantage of the fair to learn about new markets, innovative products and forward-looking ideas.
Uwe Jöst, Managing Director of KRONOTEX and KRONOPLY, says that “our stand was bustling with visitors throughout the fair. Besides our own collections, we also presented the decors of the rooms and MY FLOOR brands. We’re naturally very pleased with the great interest showed by visitors from many countries. Our products made an especially good impression on trade visitors from the United States and Arabic-speaking countries.”
The new rooms collections had already successfully debuted at BAU 2015 in Munich, and their decors were also quite a hit in Shanghai. The four collections – called penthouse, loft, suite and studio – comprise a total of 24 new decors that pay homage to the natural beauty of wood grain. For two classic oak looks in the suite collection – one limed and the other with an untreated appearance – innovative nature-identical structures were developed to make their surfaces look and feel just like real oiled wood. Supplementing this collection’s usual panel width of 193 mm, five of its oak decors are now also available in a width of 157 mm. We added them to meet the wishes of customers, who have frequently asked in shops whether these five decors are also available in narrower formats. They also open up creative new design possibilities. In addition, each collection includes decors with a modern used look, which especially appealed to many fair visitors. Decors without nature-identical structures are produced with new Allover Wood surfaces.
The MY FLOOR 2014|2015 collections also greatly pleased visitors. They were exhibited both at the KRONOTEX stand and at a separate dedicated stand. Featuring everything from modern interpretations of popular oak decors, across classics such as chestnut, pine and mahogany, all the way to more exotic teak, mountain spruce and cumaru looks, the five collections – Lodge, Cottage, Chalet, Villa and Residence – illustrate the great variety that is possible in laminate floors. Every collection is associated with a different lifestyle, which also influences the interior design choices for creating a harmonious ambience.
Amongst the current KRONOTEX decors, Mountain Spruce of the MAMMUT collection is a particularly outstanding new addition. Mainly due to its impressive nature-identical structure, it attracted great attention from fair visitors. Harbour Oak is included in several collections, proving once again the incredible versatility of laminate flooring. Visitors were thrilled by its extraordinary hues and authentic look and feel.
The GLAMOUR collection is rounded off by four unique unicolour decors in petrol, gold, silver and titanium with metallic effects. To make them shimmer alluringly, they contain mother-of-pearl pigments. The MEGA collection features four new decors that follow the current trend toward tile looks. The panels are practically indistinguishable from real ceramic tiles, supplemented with wood designs.
